ThermiSmooth® Face

What is ThermiSmooth® Face?

As people age, collagen production decreases, and lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin start to develop. ThermiSmooth® Face is a non-invasive treatment that applies radiofrequency (RF) energy to the skin’s surface to lift and tighten the skin for a more youthful appearance.

RF energy stimulates new collagen production which plumps the skin and fills in lines, wrinkles, and facial folds. It also shrinks collagen – a protein in the skin that gives it firmness and structure – for a tightening effect. Since collagen growth takes time, results will gradually appear over 3-6 months to create a naturally rejuvenated look. Regular maintenance treatments can also be repeated every 9-12 months to touch up and sustain optimal results.

Where is ThermiSmooth® Face Used?

ThermiSmooth® Face is used on the forehead, cheeks, neck, eyes, and around the mouth. RF technology can treat sagging eyelids, crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes, nasolabial folds between the nose and mouth, and vertical forehead lines. It can also treat sagging jowls and plump the appearance of hollowed or sagging cheeks.

Who is a Candidate for ThermiSmooth® Face?

Healthy adults who have started to notice facial lines, wrinkles, and mild to moderate skin laxity on their face and neck can benefit from a ThermiSmooth® Face treatment. ThermiSmooth® Face is safe for all skin types and skin tones.

Why Choose ThermiSmooth® Face?

ThermiSmooth® Face offers skin rejuvenation without the need for surgery or downtime. Treatment is relaxing and feels like a warm massage, so patients will feel comfortable before and after their procedure. The procedure only takes 30 minutes, and the heat level can be adjusted for each patient’s comfort. Since ThermiSmooth® stimulates your body’s natural collagen production, the results are long-lasting and look natural.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when you stop using fillers?

Fillers are a semi-permanent solution to fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss associated with aging. Because maintenance appointments are required to preserve the results of fillers, your body will naturally and gradually metabolize the product until it is completely gone should you stop getting filler injected. If you receive an amount of filler proportional to your features, your skin will return to its original appearance.

Is filler better than Botox?

Both filler and Botox are designed as nonsurgical wrinkle prevention treatments, determining which one is better means determining what exactly your aesthetic desires are. Botox is a botulinum toxin injectable that blocks the signals between your nerves and muscles causing the facial muscles to relax, thus preventing wrinkles caused by dynamic movements from forming. Unlike fillers, Botox does not add volume to your face, so it cannot enhance or change facial features in the customizable way that fillers can.

How long do fillers last?

Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months depending on the type of filler you receive and where it is injected. It is also important to remember that all our bodies metabolize fillers and other products at different rates, so if filler lasts a full year for your friend, it might only last 8 months for you.

Do fillers hurt?

A very fine gauged needle is used to inject dermal fillers. You may feel a small pinch, but it is widely reported as being pain-free. If you are concerned about feeling any discomfort during your procedure, a topical numbing agent can be applied to the skin beforehand, but many patients find this unnecessary.

Is filler more expensive than Botox?

The price of your procedure depends on the amount of product that is injected and the type of product that you choose. For example, the treatment of frown lines usually requires 1-2 syringes of filler priced at an average of 1,000 dollars per syringe. Treating frown lines with Botox requires 15-25 units of Botox priced at an average of 10-18 dollars, with around four treatments per year to maintain the results as long as one treatment with filler.

How often should you get fillers?

Once you have achieved your desired aesthetic results, you will only need to get filler when it starts to wear off. This timeline can change from person to person, but on average, you will only need to get filler treatments once a year.

At what age should you start using filler?

Dermal fillers can produce excellent results at any age. You don’t have to wait until you have visible signs of aging to reap the benefits of dermal filler. Even in your twenties filler can be used to enhance your already youthful features, but waiting until your thirties or forties to start using these products will also provide great results.
