What is MonaLisa Touch®?

MonaLisa Touch® is a groundbreaking laser that delivers fractional CO2 laser energy to soft tissues. Treatments are performed in-office without anesthesia or downtime.

Who is a Candidate?

Any healthy woman who is interested in restoring the health of the vaginal tissue and either cannot use or elects not to use vaginal hormones, may be a candidate for MonaLisa Touch®. Women with lichen sclerosus and other conditions involving the vulva can also benefit from the MonaLisa Touch®. The only contraindications to MonaLisa Touch® are pregnancy and active vaginal infection. In order to determine candidacy, a consultation appointment with a certified urologist or OBGYN is recommended.

The MonaLisa Touch® Treatment

The MonaLisa Touch® device employs fractional CO2 (carbon dioxide) laser energy for skin resurfacing. No anesthesia is required, and this treatment is performed on an outpatient basis.

What to Expect After MonaLisa Touch®

There is no downtime required following this treatment, so patients can feel free to return to normal activities. However, sexual activity should be avoided for 2-3 days for the best results. Most women will require three treatments each spaced six weeks apart for optimal results. A touch-up appointment may also be needed once per year to maintain results.
