Dr. Girardi has been chosen as a 2023 Long Island Business News (LIBN) Healthcare Influencer
Dr. Sarah Girardi received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her postgraduate training was completed at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, where she was the first woman to graduate from the urology residency program. Girardi was also the first woman to complete a fellowship in male infertility and microsurgery at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, where she received a broad exposure to reproductive endocrinology.
She is the former Chief, Division of Infertility and Female Urology, North Shore University Hospital, and an attending urologist at St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn. In addition, she is Clinical Associate Professor of Urology and Clinical Associate Professor of Reproductive Medicine at Cornell Medical Center, and Clinical Associate Professor of Urology at Hofstra University.
In her 25-plus years of practice, she has gained extensive experience in treating sexual health in men and women. She has also completed additional training in reconstructive surgery and is a Fellow of the Alinsod Institute for Aesthetic and Vaginal Surgery. In the past few years, she has concentrated on female sexual health and optimizing treatment options for women who experience vaginal and pelvic floor dysfunction.
“Tideline Center for Health and Aesthetics is a dream come true for me. Finally, I have a safe and private environment where I can address women’s health issues with a broad array of treatment options. We have something for everyone. Whether you are more inclined to pursue evidence-based treatments or you prefer a more holistic approach, we tailor treatments to your preferences and provide guidance in decision making,” she says.
“This is an area in medicine that has been sorely neglected until now. At last, women’s intimate health is receiving the attention it deserves, with new treatments for menopausal issues, pelvic pain, painful intercourse and arousal disorders. Women’s intimate health requires time, compassion, expertise, and imagination. At Tideline Health I have the opportunity to offer all of those skills. I am especially proud to be joined by my colleagues, Drs. Toby Handler, Michele Powers, and Carl Gerardi in offering state of the art care to this vulnerable and yet highly deserving population.”
